La acción se inició con el fotocopiado de una matriz del azul Pantone 307C, azul procedente del logotipo corporativo de la ciudad de Mataró, en las diferentes fotocopiadoras de la ciudad. Las copias se realizaron dos veces por semana durante los tres meses que duró la exposición, siendo estas expuestas en un tiempo real “work in progress”.



Las fotocopias siempre fueron hechas en las mismas siete maquinas. Posteriormente, estas fueron selladas, datadas y firmadas por el autor/a de la copia. Fue un trabajo que pretendió recoger el mayor número de muestras de color azul de todas las fotocopiadoras de la ciudad de Mataró durante un periodo de tiempo concreto. Me interesó la técnica del fotocopiado como herramienta de trabajo para hablar de la utopía del progreso, utilizando la repetición para hacer visible los errores de las máquinas y multiplicarlos.

The action began with the photocopying of a matrix of the blue patrone 307C, taken from the corporative logo from Mataró, in the different copy shops of the city. The copies were done twice a week during the three months that the exposition was shown, this guaranteed that the copies were exposed in real time “work in progress”.



The copies were always done in the same seven copy machines. Afterwards the copies were stamped, dated and signed by the author of the copy. The work tried to collect the highest number of blue colours of all the copy shops in the city within a certain period of time. I was interested by the copying technique as a work tool to deal with the utopia of progress, using the repetition to make machine mistakes visible and multiply them.
